LONG ISLAND TOPS 905 TO WIN FIRST PLAYOFF GAME IN FRANCHISE HISTORY!

LONG ISLAND (March 29, 2019) – The Long Island Nets (35-16), the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, defeated the Raptors 905 (29-22) 112-99 in the NBA G League Semifinals at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The win marked the team’s first playoff victory in franchise history, and the Nets will now advance to host the Lakeland Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday, April 2, at NYCB LIVE.

LONG ISLAND LOSES BACK-AND-FORTH THRILLER IN DRAMATIC FASHION

LONG ISLAND (Jan. 18, 2019) – The Long Island Nets (18-8), the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, saw their three-game home winning streak come to an end as they fell to the Canton Charge (10-15) 118-117 at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum.

Brooklyn two-way forward/center Alan Williams logged yet another double-double, his 16th in 19 games played and his ninth consecutive, with 18 points and 18 rebounds along with two assists, a steal and a block.

Brooklyn two-way guard/forward Theo Pinson had a game-high 30 points with four rebounds, seven assists and a steal.

Long Island forward Okaro White logged a double-double with 15 points and 16 rebounds along with three assists and a block.

Long Island led the way in the first half, winning the first quarter 29-25. The Nets expanded on their lead in the second, edging Canton 38-33 to take a nine-point lead into halftime, 67-58. Theo Pinson (16 points) and Mitch Creek (11 points) both scored double figures in the first half alone.

Canton began their charge back in the third quarter, winning the quarter 28-27 to cut the lead to eight points entering the final period of play.

The fourth quarter is where the Charge fought back. The Charge took their first lead, a two-point lead, since the second quarter with 21.4 seconds remaining on a Kobi Simmons pull-up jumper. Long Island answered back as Theo Pinson drained a 3-pointer to give the Nets a one-point lead. Canton immediately answered back off a Levi Randolph floater and the Charge won this one 118-117. Canton forward/center JaCorey Williams led the way in the final period with 10 points in the quarter.

Canton forward/center JaCorey Williams scored 28 points along with seven rebounds, eight assists, a steal and a block. Canton forward Levi Randolph also had 28 points, along with a rebounds, an assist and two steals.

Long Island will head to Erie to take on the BayHawks tomorrow, Saturday, Jan. 19, at 7 p.m. ET, while Canton will return home to take on Maine tomorrow, on Saturday, Jan. 19, at 7:30 p.m. ET.

The next home game is on Monday Jan. 21, at 3 p.m. vs Raptors 905.
