LONG ISLAND TOPS GREENSBORO TO REMAIN UNDEFEATED AT HOME

LONG ISLAND (Nov. 27, 2018) – The Long Island Nets (6-2), the NBA G League affiliate of the Brooklyn Nets, earned their fourth consecutive home win with a 129-118 victory over the Greensboro Swarm (4-5) on Tuesday. The four-game home win streak at NYCB LIVE, home of the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum, is one shy of tying a franchise record.

Brooklyn Nets two-way forward/center Alan Williams led Long Island with a career-high 28 points to go along with 19 rebounds, registering his fifth double-double in six games played. Brooklyn guard/forward Dzanan Musa scored 26 points along with a career-high seven assists and three steals while on assignment with Long Island.

The game was fast-paced and back-and-forth from the start, with the teams tying at 32 to end the first quarter.

The Nets would continue their torrid scoring throughout the second quarter, leading by as many as 13 in the quarter and scoring 39 points in the quarter alone.

Greensboro battled back in the third quarter, this time being the team with the hot hands. With 3:21 to play in the third, Greensboro tied the game at 90. The Nets would take a three-point lead heading into the fourth before coasting to an 11-point victory.

Hornets two-way forward J.P. Macura led all scorers with 31 points to go along with four rebounds, an assist and a steal. Swarm guard Jaylen Barford also recorded 23 points, seven rebounds, six assists and a block in the effort.

The two teams will do it all again in three days, as the Nets travel to Greensboro for a rematch on Friday, 11/30, at 7 p.m. ET for their second of three matchups this season.
