– Three-Day Event to Feature NBA Draft-Eligible Players and NBA G League Players –

NEW YORK, Feb. 25, 2019 The NBA G League today announced the NBA G League Elite Camp, a three-day scouting event featuring 2019 NBA Draft hopefuls and the NBA G League’s top prospects from the 2018-19 season.  The camp will take place at Chicago’s Quest Multisport from Sunday, May 12 through Tuesday, May 14.

Replacing the NBA G League Elite Mini Camp, the new event will give prospects eligible for the 2019 NBA Draft an opportunity to showcase their skills in front of NBA and NBA G League scouts, coaches and front office executives.  The event will also continue to give top NBA G League prospects from the previous season a chance to be evaluated.  The NBA G League players will attend the first two days of the NBA G League Elite Camp and the 2019 NBA Draft prospects will participate in the second and third days, without overlap between the two groups of athletes.

“We’re thrilled to introduce the NBA G League Elite Camp as an essential addition to our comprehensive evaluation process of potential NBA and NBA G League talent,” said NBA G League President Shareef Abdur-Rahim.  “This event will provide more players with exposure as they enter the next phase of their careers.”

A select number of players from the draft-eligible group will be invited to participate in the 2019 NBA Draft Combine based on their performance in the NBA G League Elite Camp.

The draft-eligible participants for the NBA G League Elite Camp and the invitees to the NBA Draft Combine will both be determined by an NBA team vote.  Once the NBA Draft Combine participants are he NBA G League today announced the NBA G League Elite Camp, a three-day scouting event featuring 2019 NBA Draft hopefuls and the NBA G League’s top prospects from the 2018-19 season., the top remaining 40 vote-getters will be invited to the last two days of the Elite Camp.

Congrats to Long Island Nets’ Theo Pinson nominated to the Midseason All-NBA G League Team

The NBA’s official minor league is recognizing its top performers by naming the Midseason All-NBA G League Teams. NBA G League coaches, general managers and players voted on the top performers from the first half of the season from their respective conferences, based on the performance of players in games through January 22, 2019.

Eligibility for players to be selected for recognition is based on having played in 50 percent of their team’s games through January 22nd and being on an Active Roster. Two-Way players and players on assignment from the NBA are eligible to both vote for and receive Midseason All-NBA G League recognition.

Mr Double-Double of Section XI is in the Record books again!

Congratulations to Bellport’s Jarell White on reaching 2,000 points and 1,000 rebounds! The senior has done it again! Not only has he scored another career 1,000 high school points, but he’s also reached the 1,000 rebound club

Jarell is a great kid and hard worker! He takes pride in rebounding and it shows. Last season the Clippers made it to the Class AA semifinals
