ALL ACADEMIC TEAM TRYOUTS THIS FRIDAY!!

The first is an All-Academic team which will consist of players who have certain GPA (3.5 or 90 and above) The team would play in a series of events held during the month of May. All games will be videotaped and seen by college coaches who interest in a high-level student athlete.  The tryouts for this team will be held March 22 at 7:00 pm at JMF Sports Center located at 575 Merrick Avenue in Westbury. A committee selected by the Lightning Executive Director will decide upon who will make up this team. The team will be coached by Eric Haber. Anyone interested in trying out must bring an unofficial transcript the tryout.

This All Academic team will participate in the following tournaments during the month of May:

Saturday May 11, 2019: 2 games site TBD in Westchester County
Saturday May 18, 2019: 3 games site TBD in Westchester County
Saturday May 25, 2019: 2 games @ NERR Super 16 event
Sunday May 26, 2019: Championship Bracket at NERR Super 16 in Connecticut.
Those interested in participating must commit to attending all events.
The cost will be approximately $325.00 per player which must be paid in full upon notification of selection to team.

Lightning Elite D1 & D2 Tryouts Also This Friday!

Lightning Basketball and NY Metropolitan AAU are committed to assisting all athletes in pursuing their dream of playing college basketball.
Lighting Basketball will be hosting tryouts for our Elite Division l or ll squad.
This will consist of players who are projected to be able to play at either Division l or ll in college.
This team will play during the D1 and D2 live periods.
It will be open to High School Juniors and Sophomores.  This team will be coached by Warren Wagner. 
The team will play in Mass. during April, Albany on Memorial Day weekend and probably in Pennsylvania during July.
The approximate cost is $425.00. 
The tryouts for this team will be held also on Friday, March 22 at 7:00 pm but at the Island Garden.
No transcript is needed for this tryout.

9TH ANNUAL TEAM UNDERRATED UNSIGNED SENIOR SHOWCASE

Nine years ago Coach Andre Edwards started a movement to provide a platform for the Unsigned Senior Student-Athletes to get the exposure needed to continue their basketball careers at the Colligate level. After becoming a coach at the Colligate level he passed the baton to his associates at Team Underrated and they continued his dream in helping our Student-Athletes achieve their dreams to play at the next level.

Every year this event is getting bigger and bigger and more and more players are getting recruited and more coaches are checking their calendars for the date of the next Team underrated Showcase Event. We at iLuvBBall has partnered with him since the 4th year and are proud to announce that we’re back for the 9th Annual event scheduled for Saturday March 23rd, 2019!
