One of our primary goals is to provide a competitive basketball setting to as many youth players as possible. Lightning Basketball is not solely for the elite player. We hope that by taking in as many promising players as possible from various social economic groups we will be able to turn out a large number of players to all three divisions of college basketball.

The Lightning organization has been recognized by the National AAU leadership as one of the top programs in the country as recently as October 2018. The Lightning has placed over 600 of our alumni in college basketball programs at all levels, and has been recognized as one of the top 15 youth programs by the JR. NBA and has been named as a member of its National Flagship program. Well you can now be part of this rich tradition!
