Holy Trinity Star Sign Sealed & Delivered To Sacred Heart University

What can we say about Mike Sixsmith?

He’s the third of the Sixsmith dynasty. Yes, there were 2 other Sixmith ballers (3 if you count his sister Jen) to grace the Long Island basketball landscape. The 2 brothers that I aforementioned were Jack & Billy. Also former Holy Trinity Titans. They were also NY State Champions. So it’s no surprise that Mike has followed in his brothers’ footsteps. Billy was a flat out shooter, A surgical sniper if you will, and Jack was a more well-rounded player. He shot the ball well too but did a little bit of everything else. They both went on to play at Baruch College Billy Sixsmith broke the team record for 3-pointers in an 82-58 point beating of CCNY where he scored 20 and is now the all-time leader with 231 3-point field goals! Jack, on the other hand, does it all. In 1 game Jack recorded 10 steals and 30 points!

(Check out the photo below of the opposing coaches when Billy is left open for a 3 pointer 😂 )

Enough about his brothers. The reason why we gave you the history is to explain where Mike Sixsmith came from. It was no surprise how good this kid turned out. He lived in the gym. He was dragged all over God’s green earth to watch his brothers do work. So either 1 of 2 things would happen. Either he’d hate basketball and never go near a court or he would end up being better than both brothers. Thank God the later came to fruition.

(Check out this game vs. Farmingdale where he scored a double-double)

Upper Room’s Luis Risquez makes His College Decision…

Who is Luis Risquez?

This guy was part of the 2019-2020 Championship Upper Room Royals team along with highly sought after teammate Andrés Marrero.

Luis averaged 12pts. and 11rbs. Per game. One is his best attributes was his ability to grab boards (he is a very strong rebounder). Another advantage to having Luis on your squad is his ability to stretch the floor with his long rangeability. He is a very good 3-point shooter. That and his 6’8″ frame causes matchup problems for the opposing teams due to his offensive versatility. he can stretch you out with the 3-pointer, back you down and take you in the post, or simply rise up and shoot over the shorter defenders.

Luis Risquez has decided to continue his Student-Athlete Basketball Career at …
